On July 21, 2011 numerous vehicle prowls were reported in the 6900 block of Martin Way. The vehicles were parked in the parking lot of two businesses overnight.
The suspects stole stereos from the vehicles, damaging several vehicles to gain entry.

Wednesday, August 4th, 2010There have been numerous reports of vehicle prowls in the southeast area of Lacey, which occur in the late night to early morning hours. Some of the streets include Bailey, Inlay, Stone, and Prism. Often, owners have left valuables in plain sight or have left the vehicles unlocked.
Owners are encouraged not to leave any valuables inside a vehicle and to always lock the doors and close the windows.

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010Since the first of January, there have been over 150 vehicle prowls reported in the City of Lacey. In most cases, the victim reported either a car window was smashed or the car had been left unlocked. In many instances, a purse or GPS unit was easily viewed inside the vehicle.
The Lacey Police Department wants the public to be aware of the risk when leaving property visible inside a vehicle. Please do not leave any valuables or belongings inside a vehicle that is parked outside.
