On Tuesday, September 27th, at about 8:30 a.m., a 12-year-old developmentally disabled boy was waiting for the school bus at Lorne and North Streets. A white vehicle pulled up, opened the front passenger door, and told the boy to get in, while motioning for him to hurry. A witness saw the incident and the boy got away.

The vehicle is described as a newer white car, similar to a small station wagon, with tinted windows. The driver was a white male, middle aged, with brown hair and bangs across the forehead.

On April 4th and again on April 7th, a male suspect approached the entrances to two local banks. In each instance, a bank employee spotted the suspect approaching and could see he was wearing a ski mask over his face. Before he could enter the banks, the employees were able to lock the doors.

The suspect is described as around 6-foot tall. However, in one case he appeared to be thin and in the second the suspect appeared heavier. In the second case, the suspect carried a black umbrella.

On May 21st around 3:45 p.m., a 9-year-old girl got off the school bus in the area of Miller Avenue NE and Fairview. A man in a gray or silver Scion or Honda Element type boxy car asked her to get into his car. When she refused, he ordered her to get in, and she ran home.

The suspect is a white male, about 50 years old, medium length reddish hair, wearing a red t-shirt with a picture of Jimi Hendrix on the front. He has a sunken face and yellowing teeth. The vehicle had a bumper sticker reading something like “Rock and Roll”.

There have been two suspicious fires to residences in the area of Dawn Hill Drive SE. One fire occurred in April and the second occurred May 9th. Both fires are believed to be the result of arson.

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office would like residents in the area to be aware of any suspicious persons or activity in the area, and to report this immediately.

On Friday, March 3rd, Olympia Police investigated a luring complaint in the area of Henderson Blvd. and Briggs Drive SE. An eleven-year-old child was approached by a man in a white van after getting off the school bus. When the child refused to go near him, the van followed the child home and parked in the driveway for several minutes. He was seen in the neighborhood looking in windows.

The van is a white full-sized Ford with the back windows painted white. The white male suspect was in his 30s, stocky, with a mustache and blond shaggy hair.

On August 26th, a white male came to a residence in the county and told the woman inside that he had a court order to remove her children from the home. When the male could not produce any paperwork, she refused to comply and closed her door. The male left in a white mini van.

The male identified himself as Michael Jenkins and is described as mid to late 40′s, 5-6, with a full beard and glasses.

Olympia Police are seeking information about a series of late night incidents in the 900 block area of Lilly Road.

Police have received a number of calls about a prowler, as well as two burglaries recently in that area. A male has been reported as possibly targeting apartments where women live alone.
