Since the first of January, there have been over 150 vehicle prowls reported in the City of Lacey. In most cases, the victim reported either a car window was smashed or the car had been left unlocked. In many instances, a purse or GPS unit was easily viewed inside the vehicle.

The Lacey Police Department wants the public to be aware of the risk when leaving property visible inside a vehicle. Please do not leave any valuables or belongings inside a vehicle that is parked outside.

On Saturday, January 9th, between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., a vehicle prowl occurred in the apartment complex parking lot in the 5800 block of Titleist Lane SE.

The suspect entered a ran 2003 Honda Element SUV and stole several rolling cases of jewelry in plastic display boxes used for jewelry parties.  The jewelry is made by Silpada Designs and includes sterling silver rings, necklaces and bracelets valued at over $3,800.

Olympia Police are seeking information about a series of late night incidents in the 900 block area of Lilly Road.

Police have received a number of calls about a prowler, as well as two burglaries recently in that area. A male has been reported as possibly targeting apartments where women live alone.
