On August 11th, a burglary occurred at the Dinners Done Right business in the 8600 block of Martin Way.

The suspect forced entry and then stole the safe, which contained a small amount of cash. The safe was later located in the Tacoma area in a brushy area near the Tacoma Dome.

Between August 17^thand the evening of August 18^th, a burglary occurred in the 4500 block of Boston Harbor Road NE. The suspect forced open a door and then drove a possible pickup truck to the back yard. There, the suspect is believed to have placed the stolen items in the truck.

Taken during the burglary were two 42” Samsung TVs, a Sony Playstation, Sony camera, Compaq laptop, and three guitars, among other valuables.

In the early morning hours of July 7th, the Puerto Vallarta Restaurant in the 1400 block of Galaxy Drive NE was burglarized.

The suspect forced open a door and damaged the front counter, before stealing the cash drawer.

On surveillance video, the suspect seen is a white male with shaved head, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt. A possible suspect vehicle was seen in the area and described as a black Honda.

On Monday, June 21st, two excavators were stolen from businesses in the 7500 block of Martin Way East.

One excavator was a 2006 red and gray Takeuchi TB135, valued at over $30,000. The second was a yellow John Deere M-15 excavator valued at $40,000.

During the early morning hours of Monday, June 7th, a commercial burglary occurred at Michael Nutter Jewelers located at 518 Capital Way South in Olympia. The suspect forced entry into the business via the front door and stole numerous watches from a display case, causing significant damage to the business. Loss to the business was estimated at several thousand dollars.

On April 1st at 4:19 a.m., Olympia Police officers responded to an alarm activation at the J & I Saw Shop located at 3729 Pacific Avenue SE. Officers discovered that suspects had forced entry through an exterior gate and that one of the store windows had been shattered. Stolen in the burglary were Honda brand generators and Stihl brand chainsaws. Due to the size and weight and of the stolen property, more than one suspect using a truck or trailer is likely to have been involved.

The Griffin School District bus yard reported a burglary occurred there some time over the weekend. The suspect cut through the fencing and then cut wiring from two of the buses. The suspects stole 17 yellow and black extension cords.

The cost to re-wire the buses is estimated at $10,000. The cost to replace the extension cords is estimated at $500. The damage to the fencing is estimated at $150.

Since the first of January, there have been over 88 vehicle prowls reported in the City of Lacey. In over 60 cases, the victim reported either a car window was smashed or the car had been left unlocked. In 40 of those cases, either a purse or GPS unit was easily viewed inside the vehicle.

The Lacey Police Department wants the public to be aware of the risk when leaving property visible inside a vehicle.

Some time during the evening hours of Sunday, January 31st and early morning hours of Monday, February 1st, the Rivers Edge Restaurant located at 4611 Tumwater Valley Drive SE was burglarized.

The suspects stole two 46″ Panasonic LCD televisions and an HP laptop from inside the restaurant. The loss to the business is estimated at $2,200.

Between 5 p.m. on January 19^th and 5 a.m. the following morning, the county facility under construction at 3013 Ferguson Lane SW was burglarized. The suspects pried open doors and padlocks, causing hundreds of dollars in damage. Once inside, the thieves stole numerous tools, brass fittings, and copper wire. The losses total over $14,000.

During the evening hours of December 20^th and early morning hours of December 21^st, a 6′x10′ utility trailer was stolen from the 2600 block of Parkmont Lane SW. The trailer had “CIA Group” painted on the sides. It contained approximately $7,000 in construction equipment inside. When the trailer was later recovered on Old Olympic Highway near Kennedy Creek in Mason County, all the contents had been stolen.

On Saturday, January 9^th, between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., a vehicle prowl occurred in the apartment complex parking lot in the 5800 block of Titleist Lane SE.

The suspect entered a ran 2003 Honda Element SUV and stole several rolling cases of jewelry in plastic display boxes used for jewelry parties. The jewelry is made by Silpada Designs and includes sterling silver rings, necklaces and bracelets valued at over $3,800.
