On August 12th, a 45 year old man was brutally beaten in the Skookumchuck area south of Tenino. A 25 year-old Army Ranger has been arrested for Kidnapping, Burglary and Assault in that case, but the second suspect has not yet been identified. The Sheriff’s Office needs your help identifying the co-conspirator.

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011On July 27th around 9:15 p.m., a man was assaulted and robbed while walking westbound on Yelm Hwy near Corporate Center and the Chehalis Western Trail.
The victim was approached by two white males on bicycles. One suspect asked for money, and when the victim said he did not have any, the suspect punched him in the face.
Both suspects appeared to be approximately 17 years old. One was approximately 5-8, 165, with a blue ball cap on backwards.

Wednesday, July 13th, 2011On July 5th just after midnight, a 60-year-old man was brutally assaulted in the 200 block of West Lee Street in Tumwater. The victim sustained multiple injuries to his head and body. He was found on the street by passing citizens.
The victim is currently in critical condition and unable to communicate to police what happened. The Tumwater Police Department is seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the attack or has any information about this incident.

Friday, June 10th, 2011On June 2nd, a woman was assaulted and robbed while walking on the Chehalis Western Trail near the 200 block of Lilly Road NE.
The victim was grabbed from behind by a male and female at about 1:45 p.m. The suspects stole the contents of her purse and fled.
One suspect is a white female in her mid 20s, 5-5, approximately 140 lbs, wearing a dark green hoodie and jeans. The male is a black male, late 20s or early 30s, 6-0, medium build wearing a puffy black jacket and black pants.

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011On May 17th, just after 5 p.m., an incident occurred in the 2100 block of Marvin Road NE. The driver of a black Cadillac SUV intentionally struck the driver of a motorcycle, running over and severely injuring his leg before leaving the scene. He is now wanted for questioning by Lacey Police.
The driver of the vehicle is believed to be Brandon James Merrill, white male, 35 years of age, with a last known address in Graham, Washington.

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010On Sunday, July 18th, at 6:00 a.m., a strong armed robbery occurred on Yelm Highway SE and Mt. Olympus Street SE.
The victim reports that two men came up behind him as he was walking down the road. They grabbed his bag and assaulted the victim before running off.
One suspect was a white male in his 30’s, 6-foot, medium build, wearing jeans and a dark blue short sleeved shirt. The second suspect was a black male in his 40’s, 5-foot, heavy build, wearing white shorts with black dots and a red short sleeved shirt.

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010On May 13th, at 2:15 p.m., a robbery occurred in the park located in the 1400 block of Evergreen Park Drive SW. The victim was approached by three Hispanic males in their early twenties. One suspect demanded the victim’s backpack, and when he refused, he struck the victim in the face. He was then stabbed multiple times in the back.
One suspect was described as 6-5”, over 300 lbs, wearing an orange check shirt. The other two males were average height and weight. The backpack is an Element brand, black with a bright green tree insignia.

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010On February 27th between 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., a home invasion robbery occurred in the Clearwood area on Sylvan Dell.
The victim reported that a white male, medium height and build, wearing a ski mask with eye holes and dark hoodie, knocked on her front door. When she answered, he assaulted her and tied her up with zip ties. He then ransacked her home. After the robbery, the suspect poured bleach on the victim to conceal any evidence.
The suspect later accessed her bank account in Graham.
