On August 11th, a burglary occurred at the Dinners Done Right business in the 8600 block of Martin Way.

The suspect forced entry and then stole the safe, which contained a small amount of cash. The safe was later located in the Tacoma area in a brushy area near the Tacoma Dome.

Between August 17^thand the evening of August 18^th, a burglary occurred in the 4500 block of Boston Harbor Road NE. The suspect forced open a door and then drove a possible pickup truck to the back yard. There, the suspect is believed to have placed the stolen items in the truck.

Taken during the burglary were two 42” Samsung TVs, a Sony Playstation, Sony camera, Compaq laptop, and three guitars, among other valuables.

There have been numerous reports of vehicle prowls in the southeast area of Lacey, which occur in the late night to early morning hours. Some of the streets include Bailey, Inlay, Stone, and Prism. Often, owners have left valuables in plain sight or have left the vehicles unlocked.

Owners are encouraged not to leave any valuables inside a vehicle and to always lock the doors and close the windows.

On Sunday, July 18th, at 6:00 a.m., a strong armed robbery occurred on Yelm Highway SE and Mt. Olympus Street SE.

The victim reports that two men came up behind him as he was walking down the road. They grabbed his bag and assaulted the victim before running off.

One suspect was a white male in his 30’s, 6-foot, medium build, wearing jeans and a dark blue short sleeved shirt. The second suspect was a black male in his 40’s, 5-foot, heavy build, wearing white shorts with black dots and a red short sleeved shirt.

In the early morning hours of July 7th, the Puerto Vallarta Restaurant in the 1400 block of Galaxy Drive NE was burglarized.

The suspect forced open a door and damaged the front counter, before stealing the cash drawer.

On surveillance video, the suspect seen is a white male with shaved head, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt. A possible suspect vehicle was seen in the area and described as a black Honda.

On Monday, June 28th, at approximately 8:25, two females approached a female victim while she was sitting in her car in the back parking lot of SPSCC. One female asked the victim for directions, and then both females pointed what appeared to be handguns at her, demanding money. When the victim refused, the second female suspect shot the victim in the head with a pepperball. Both suspects got into a bronze two-door car similar to a Chevy Cavalier and fled on Firland St.

Both females were in their mid to late twenties. One was approximately 5′8 to 5′10, slender to average build. She was light skinned, possibly mixed race, brown hair in a ponytail, greenish eyes. The second suspect was Caucasian, about 5′5, heavier set build, and also brown hair in a ponytail, possibly wearing glasses.

On Monday, June 21st, two excavators were stolen from businesses in the 7500 block of Martin Way East.

One excavator was a 2006 red and gray Takeuchi TB135, valued at over $30,000. The second was a yellow John Deere M-15 excavator valued at $40,000.

The River Ridge High School baseball team had their 6th break-in / vandalism since last fall, and twice over the past three weeks. Two weeks ago, thieves attempted to break into the concession stand, causing damage to the structure.

Over the past weekend they returned and did significant damage to the varsity field. They spray painted in the outfield, dug up home plate and the pitcher’s mound, dug holes throughout the infield, and spray painted the dugout.

During the early morning hours of Monday, June 7th, a commercial burglary occurred at Michael Nutter Jewelers located at 518 Capital Way South in Olympia. The suspect forced entry into the business via the front door and stole numerous watches from a display case, causing significant damage to the business. Loss to the business was estimated at several thousand dollars.

On May 21st around 3:45 p.m., a 9-year-old girl got off the school bus in the area of Miller Avenue NE and Fairview. A man in a gray or silver Scion or Honda Element type boxy car asked her to get into his car. When she refused, he ordered her to get in, and she ran home.

The suspect is a white male, about 50 years old, medium length reddish hair, wearing a red t-shirt with a picture of Jimi Hendrix on the front. He has a sunken face and yellowing teeth. The vehicle had a bumper sticker reading something like “Rock and Roll”.

On May 13th, at 2:15 p.m., a robbery occurred in the park located in the 1400 block of Evergreen Park Drive SW. The victim was approached by three Hispanic males in their early twenties. One suspect demanded the victim’s backpack, and when he refused, he struck the victim in the face. He was then stabbed multiple times in the back.

One suspect was described as 6-5”, over 300 lbs, wearing an orange check shirt. The other two males were average height and weight. The backpack is an Element brand, black with a bright green tree insignia.

There have been two suspicious fires to residences in the area of Dawn Hill Drive SE. One fire occurred in April and the second occurred May 9th. Both fires are believed to be the result of arson.

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office would like residents in the area to be aware of any suspicious persons or activity in the area, and to report this immediately.
