The Thurston County Area Crime Stoppers
program is sponsored by various civic, professional, and
social organizations and groups of the Thurston County
area, as well as interested citizens. This program provides
a vehicle for the free flow of information from the public
concerning felony criminal activity, yet also provides
cash rewards to citizens for information leading to the
arrest and filing of charges against an offender involved
in unsolved felony crime, should such a cash reward be
requested.
The Thurston
County area Crime Stoppers program is (1) funded by public
contributions, (2) has a volunteer civilian Board of Directors
that oversees and administers all funds, (3) is established
as a non-profit corporation under Washington State law,
and (4) coordinates its activities with the designated
representatives of all concerned law enforcement agencies.
