Two large pieces of art were stolen from an art gallery in downtown Olympia during Friday night or early Saturday, January 21st.

One piece was 50-inches in diameter titled “Tribute to a Concussed Skier”. The other was 56-inches by 40-inches titled “Horizons II”.

The burglars entered the gallery by breaking out a skylight and then rappelling down.

January 11, 2012

On Friday, January 6th, an elderly man was the victim of a scam. The victim was approached in a parking lot in the 700 block of Sleater Kinney in Lacey. He was told a story of an inheritance that was being donated, and then convinced the victim to withdraw $25,000 of his own money to prove he was trustworthy. The suspect then fled with the victim’s money.

The suspect was a tall, light skinned black male, and his accomplice was a white male.

January 4, 2012

On Friday, December 28th at about 7:30 p.m., the Lacey Fuel located at 4533 Lacey Boulevard was robbed by a lone gunman. He then ran westbound on 13th Avenue from College Street.

This suspect is also suspected in several other robberies in the Pierce County area. He is described as a white or light skinned black male, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood over a gray stocking cap, dark glasses, gray face cover. The suspect is medium build, about 5-9 to 6-foot.

The suspect displays a black automatic handgun with laser pointer.
