Since the first of January, there have been over 150 vehicle prowls reported in the City of Lacey. In most cases, the victim reported either a car window was smashed or the car had been left unlocked. In many instances, a purse or GPS unit was easily viewed inside the vehicle.

The Lacey Police Department wants the public to be aware of the risk when leaving property visible inside a vehicle. Please do not leave any valuables or belongings inside a vehicle that is parked outside.
