During the late night of Saturday, January 3, 2009 a burglary occurred at the Speedway Brewery located at 1225 Ruddell Rd. SE. in Lacey. The suspects caused significant damage to the business by breaking a glass display case, a plasma TV, and opening cooler doors causing meat to spoil. A laptop computer and various tools were stolen from the business.
