On Saturday, July 12th, around 4:45 a.m., a burglary occurred at The Grill Restaurant in Rochester. The suspects forced entry into the business and then forced open an interior door. The suspect caused damage to the front door, a cash drawer, an interior door, and the security camera. The suspect stole a large quantity of coins.
The security video shows a white male, medium height and build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and boots. He had a mustache and wore gloves.
On Sunday, July 13th, a robbery of a citizen occurred on I-5 near milepost 88.
The victim reports seeing a white male standing near an older blue 1980s sedan on the shoulder waving a red one gallon gas can. The victim pulled over to give the suspect a ride. The suspect then pulled out a .45 caliber handgun and demanded the victim’s wallet. The suspect asked to be dropped off near the northbound rest area.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5-9, wearing a collared shirt over another shirt, jeans and tennis shoes. He was possibly working with an accomplice.
On the afternoon of June 29th, a theft occurred from the ball field at the Evergreen Christian Community Church. The suspects removed a large portable Mackie sound system. It included a mixing board and large four-foot tall powered speakers, typically used for commercial purposes.
The sound system is valued at over $4,000.
